Mangowood

At OVAS, mangowood is a signature for our vases. The lovely short grain pattern looks best with natural or dark brown finishes. Being a semi-hard wood, it is easy to carve and this means you get interesting shapes and designs that are different from the conventional.

These woods are taken from the old trees at mango fruit plantations, which are cleared periodically to make space for new tress. Instead of burning or relegating them to the dumps, all it takes is some creativity and effort to turn them into gorgeous pieces of decorative items.
