Born 1975, Phayao Province, Northern Thailand

There is something quietly extraordinary about Narate Kathong's work. Each painting is built from thousands to millions of individual dots, a self-developed technique rooted in Pointillism. Up close the canvas breathes with texture and detail. Step back, and the whole forest comes alive.

His landscapes go beyond beauty. They evoke memory. They slow you down. They make you feel, for a moment, that the world is still and everything is going to be alright.

Exhibited across Asia, Australia and Europe, from Hong Kong and Seoul to Zurich and Montreux, and recipient of multiple awards since 1991, Narate's work carries both international credibility and genuine emotional warmth.

INFLUENCE

Pointillism and Impressionism. He has strong influence by two artists namely Georges Seurat and Claude Monet.
